Acton Date: 24 October 1996, 14:10 JST Subj: Change in SXT normal pointing. Greetings, Tomorrow at pass 1 (26-OCT-96 03:00:59 JST) please offpoint Yohkoh 3 arcminutes to the west (OG 36 decimal) and leave it there until next week. Please remove any S/C NORMAL POINT entries in the OP during this period so that the offpointing will continue. All terminators will be made with the same 3 arcminute offpoint given by OG 36. The purpose of this change in pointing is to observe the region of loops in the SW as it crosses the west limb. Perhaps we will be fortunate and catch a CME! I will probably change to a 5 arcminute west offpoint next Monday. The next table uploaded will be on Saturday at pass 4. At that time I will probably remove the thin aluminum exposures from the table because of the increased straylight from the offpointing. Thank you, Loren Acton
