Test CDS FITS data file Version 2 William Thompson 24 June 1994 The file "testdata2.fits" contains the second iteration of a sample data file in the format to be used for the CDS level-1 data. A number of changes have been made since the previous version. The most important change is the switch from a Y-Z coordinate system to an X-Y coordinate system. This will require modifications in the CDS software. However, these modifications have already been made for the calibration data. Also, the image position now matches the true pointing of the SERTS instrument when these data were taken. This means that one should be able to overlay the field of view onto a ground-based image for the same date, and get the correct region of the sun. A complete list of the changes follows: * Defined correct image position * Incorporated correct image orientation * Set SC_ROLL to reflect actual roll angle of SERTS during exposure. * Modified TWMIN and TWMAX to reflect the true range, rather than the centers of the first and last pixels. * Changed column labels to be more descriptive. * Added O IV 554.5 column (which includes O IV 555.3 as well). * Use X/Y instead of Y/Z. * Added all auxilliary columns. * Added TWBNDnnn and TGORDnnn keywords. * Added a number of additional keywords to the header. Modifications added 24 June 1994: * Changed DEL_TIME from floating point seconds to long integer milliseconds. * Broadened the lines to better reflect the instrument.
