Richard, Below is the modified filament study (called FERUPT) that I promised. Sorry for the delay, but everyone seems to be wanting things from me all at once. It is similar to O_FFLOWS, except that it has shorter (15 sec) exposures and a smaller (1x1 arcmin) FOV. A possible mode for running it is to sandwich it between two runs of O_FFLOWS to locate the filament. Here is a study brief on it: FERUPT - Filament Eruption Duration: 18 min NIS, 2x240 arcsec slit, 120x120 arcsec area, 60 locations Exposure: 15 s, Compression: To 12 bits Lines: Mg IX 368, O III 525, 599, He I 537, 584, Ne VI 562, MgX 624, O V 629, 8 lines, 21 pix across. Comment: Study to search for filament eruptions. To be run with O_FFLOWS for context: e.g., RUN = O_FFLOWS + FERUPT (2-3 repeats) + O_FFLOWS and repeat RUN several times with solar tracking on.
