Version 2 of LASCO CME List CSt--1998/06/23 In this directory are monthly lists showing the times and characteristics of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) detected in the SOHO LASCO C2/C3 images. These lists are provided for researchers with complementary data who wish to collaborate with members of the LASCO team. Although some Data Gaps have been noted, these lists are still considered "preliminary." One should NOT perform statistical analyses on the information contained in these monthly lists. Statistical results of analysis of three months of these measurements have been reported in St.Cyr et al, 1997, Proceedings of the 31st ESLAB Symposium, held at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands during September 1997. Please feel free to contact C. St.Cyr or R. Howard for further information. (cst@sdac.nascom.nasa.gov) Table Legend: Date = date the CME first appeared in C2 (or C3, if noted) First Time [UT] = the UT that the observer believed the CME first appeared in C2 (or C3, if noted) Central PA = Position Angle of central axis of CME Width = the angular span of the CME Primary Speed = measurement of the earliest identifiable feature in the mass ejection H-T Fit = order of polynomial used to fit the height-time curve for speed (1st order = constant velocity; 2nd order = constant acceleration) Acceleration -- [m/sec^-2] if 2nd order fit chosen Speed Feature = the morphology of the feature measured (LE=Leading Edge) Concave-Out Feature = Was this morphology detected during the late stages of the CME?
