Preliminary 2009 SOHO LASCO Coronal Mass Ejection List (Revised 01-Sep-2009 --- GAS). This is a working version of a catalogue of activity and probable coronal mass ejections detected in white light observations of the LASCO coronagraphs. This list is maintained at the SOHO Experimenters' Operations Facility, and it is based on an examination of only quick-look data, which represents a subset of the final LASCO dataset. Questions about this list should be directed to: lascoplanner@grace.nascom.nasa.gov . Bulk of loop projection at PA ~38 degrees. HALO Halo description for alert: SOHO/LASCO C2 observed a wide loop front over the northern hemisphere on December 16, 2009 04:06 UT. The aproximate position angle range of 340 - 120 degrees. At this time SOHO is in an inverted roll position so there is conflict to the edge where it falls behind the pylons in the NW. The event continues into the C3 field and measured in the last frame at the time of this writing of 09:42 UT. Time/height measurements were marked and calculated to velocities of this vent of 225.2 Km/sec at position angle 42 degrees. The event propagated from AR 11035 at N30W05 as seen in EIT with a flare from AR at 01:13 - 02:24 UT. An EIT wave is produced at all angles with a norht eastern projection but possibly including AR 11034 which is adjacent of the epicenter to the South. GOES shows a C5.4 xray flare at 01:02-01:35 UT claiming AR 11035. This flare is most probably associated with the flare and CME observed in the EIT and LASCO fields. *** 12:30 - 15:50 data gap; ICAL001 *** 16:54 SE - Ragged helmut front over limb preceding a large bright well defined multiloop front which slowly exposes.
