	00:00 UT SPARTAN support; high cadence program consisting of;
		C2 Pb 2x2 LEB binned rice compress; 1 per hour
		C3 Pb 2x2 LEB binned rice compress; 1 every 4 hours.
		This will continue through Wednesday.

	C1 reference images taken before COB cool-down.
	22:52 UT  LASCO heater zones reset to nominal.

	20:38-02:30 UT C1 FP testing.  
	The LASCO heater zones were elevated +5 degC in all 5 areas to
		move the components of the FP and flex the COB.  The
		temperatures stayed elevated thru the night. 
	19:15 UT launch of SST-95 with the SPARTAN payload.  To be deployed
		Sunday Nov 1st at 18:36 UT with a 40 hour observation.

	Spartan to be deployed from Shuttle Sunday Nov 1 at 18:36 UT for
		a 40 hour observation plan.  We will support till Nov 10th.

		cadence, EIT synoptic sets 6 hr cadence @1,7,13,19 UT.

	22:31 UT C2 and C3 doors opened.  At the same time the FOT monitoring
		program for LEB activity was tested for the new program and 
		found to be successfull.
	23:05-00:28 UT C1 FP testing.  Successfull PZT activity found.

	20:34 UT First all-night observing program since reacquisition.

13-Oct-1998  LASCO and EIT Power-On; EIT Camera Check-Out

	17:33 UT  command sent by FOT.
	A manuall boot of all systems was done and successful.
	20:39 UT Transition from Submode 1 to Submode 5
	20:57 UT EIT door was open and took it's first 195A image
	C1 FP checked and found to have problems
	C2 and C3 checked out successful

	Instruments warmed using spacecraft substitution heaters
