LASCO Activity Report for
July 02, 2007 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.
Points Of Interest
2007/06/29 (Friday)
03:54 UT ES East Elongated loop-like front (fan-like top).
06:54 UT W Limb Slow development of a system of very faint loop fronts.
Difficult to give an exact time of first appearance.
A big twisted structure becomes discernible by the end
of the day. WIDTH in C3 by 08:42 UT (next day): ~
35 deg.
10:30 UT EN East Small blob-like front starts to be discernible
(most likely as a result of 'pair-formation').
2007/06/30 (Saturday)
01:31 UT ES East Elongated fan-like front. It fades throughout C3,
close to its inner edge.
03:54 UT N West Slow development of a system of slightly expanding
loop fronts followed by an apparently twisted (faint)
structure at PA that roughly matches that of the
northern leg of the twisted structure reported on
entry at 06:54 UT on previous day. Very faint in C3.
Estimated WIDTH in C3 at 18:18 UT: ~ 30 deg.
2007/07/01 (Sunday)
EN East Some gusty outflow along the day.
09:54 UT E Limb Diffuse and thin elongated loop front. It fades
throughout C3, close to its inner edge.
19:31 UT NN East Faint and very diffuse fan-like front that quickly
fades.
2007/07/02 (Monday)
03:30 - 11:54 UT Temporary LASCO Data Gap (C2 time).
11:54 UT ES East Elongated fan-like front already under development
after data gap.
Last C2 image available by the time of writing: 12:06 UT.
