LASCO Activity Report for
July 19, 2005 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.
Points Of Interest
2005/07/18 (Monday)
Much gusty outflow and small ragged fronts on ENE and ESE since late
on previous day all along the day and well into next day.
00:30 UT WN West Faint loop front in the gusty outflow. It fades
throughout C3.
04:30 UT ES East Not-well-defined front. It fades throughout C3.
09:54 UT ES East Diffuse front followed by a narrow front a little bit
to S. They fade throughout C3.
11:30 UT W Limb Very diffuse and elongated faint loop front.
21:08 UT ES East Small front followed by a very faint system of expanding
loops (in the form of a pseudo-continuous outflow).
It later superposes in the LOS with the slow development
of another system of loops (see next entry).
22:30 UT ES East Slow development of a system of loop-like fronts that
evolves as a big twisted structure (toward SE), partly
superposed in the LOS with the trailing material of
event reported to start at 21:08 UT.
2005/07/19 (Tuesday)
Still much gusty outflow on ENE, rotating toward NE.
04:06 UT EN East Diffuse jet-like front.
05:08 UT WN West Very faint asymmetric loop front developing toward W.
Time of the last C2 image under analysis: 12:06 UT.
