May 26, 2005 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Medoc Campaign started on May 16. Since then SOHO is in Telemetry submode 5.
EIT 195 CME watch at half resolution (512x512).

2005/05/25 (Wednesday)

ES East Event reported to start at 08:50 UT on previous day
			continues its slow development.

03:50 UT ES East	Curved feature starts to rise very slowly. By late in
the afternoon it shows up as what seems to be an
elongated loop-like structure with apparently twisted
			interior.

06:50 UT N Pole	Jet-like front developing toward NNW.

14:26 UT N East	Diffuse jet-like front.

20:00 UT WS West	Very faint ragged loop front. Difficult to give an
exact time of first appearance. It fades throughout
C3. Please note that an extremely faint and diffuse
asymetric loop front can be guessed preceding the faint
ragged loop front, spanning to almost the S Pole.
It is too faint to be discerned in C3.

2005/05/26 (Thursday)

N West	Very slow development of a system of faint loops that
started to be seen by the end of previous day. Some
small and faint blob-like fronts superposed in the LOS
			(moving faster).

13:27 UT S West	Diffuse loop front that initially shows up as a fan-
			like front.

	13:34 - 24:00 UT	EIT CME watch in 304.

Time of the last C2 image analyzed: 14:26 UT
