LASCO Activity Report for
November 29, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.
Points Of Interest
SOHO is in Telemetry Submode 5 since 2004/11/08 @ 22:15 UT. While in Submode 5,
half resolution EIT 195 CME watch (512x512).
2004/11/26 (Friday)
02:50 UT W Limb Very narrow and small loop front. Also very slow
development of a faint and apparently twisted feature
superposed in the LOS with some outflow. Difficult to
give an exact time of first appearance. By that time,
on WSW, an elongated and narrow loop-like feature
develops.
16:26 UT E Limb Jet-like front that quickly fades.
2004/11/27 (Saturday)
WS West Since early in the day, very slow development of an
extremely faint system of loops.
W Limb Several blob-like fronts along the day starts developing
already at a couple of solar radii above the limb.
Corresponding infalling material.
11:26 UT E Limb Elongated loop-like front with twisted trailing
material. It fades throughout C3.
23:26 UT E Limb Kind of 'spray-like' front. It is preceded by 20:06 UT
(difficult to give an exact time) by a faint front
on ENE that is pushed toward N as the spray-like front
develops.
2004/11/28 (Sunday)
05:26 UT E Limb Ragged front developing toward NE. It fades in C3.
06:50 UT W Limb Jet-like front.
15:26 UT E Limb Extremely narrow loop front (jet-like) that fades
throughout C2.
2004/11/29 (Monday)
01:27 UT E Limb Initially bright front that fades throughout C2. Faint
diffuse extensions to N. Another very faint expanding
front follows developing toward NE (~ 03:26 UT).
06:26 UT E Limb Another initially bright front followed at 08:06 UT
on ENE-NE by an asymmetric and structured expanding
loop-like feature.
