LASCO Activity Report for
November 26, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

SOHO is in Telemetry Submode 5 since 2004/11/08 @ 22:15 UT. While in Submode 5,
half resolution EIT 195 CME watch (512x512).

2004/11/24 (Wednesday)

03:26 UT S East	Kind of 'reconexion' event (blob-like front going out
and another one falling down). Difficult to give an
exact starting time. Separation point: ~ 4 solar radii
at PA ~ 110 deg. More infalling material to N.

03:50 UT N West	Faint loop front developing toward WNW. It fades
throughout C2. An elongated and narrow feature
develops by the time at roughly the PA of the northern
leg of the loop front. This feature can be followed
in C3 only close to the inner edge.

04:26 UT S West	Faint elongated and expanding loop-like feature
developing slowly. Difficult to give an exact time
			of first appearance.

08:26 UT E Limb	Diffuse ragged loop front that fades throughout C2. It
seems to be preceded at 07:27 UT by a a very diffuse and
narrower front right above the E Limb. Couple of
slightly brighter fronts follow (also narrower than
the first one mentioned) starting at 09:50 and 12:06 UT.

12:50 UT N East	Initially bright loop front develops along streamer. It is
followed by another loop front developing similarly, not as
bright, at 17:06 UT. Another one at 20:06 UT.

18:06 UT E Limb	Narrow ragged loop front. Couple more a little bit to N by
19:50 UT and 20:54 UT. The development of the last two ones
show very faint loop-like extensions to N, that seems to
connect with the corresponding loop fronts developing along
the streamer at 17:06 and 20:06 UT (see entry at 12:50 UT).

19:50 UT WS West	Very faint and small front developing toward W that quickly
			fades.

22:06 UT E Limb	Faint and diffuse loop front preceding at 23:26 UT on NE
(at roughly the PA of its northern leg) a ragged looop front
along the streamer, and a narrow ragged loop front on E at
00:26 UT on next day. As in previous case, this narrow loop
front on E would seem to be connected by faint extensions to
			the loop along streamer.

2004/11/25 (Thursday)

02:26 UT E Limb	Narrow ragged loop fronts continue developing. Another ones
at 04:50 UT and 06:26 UT.

05:50 UT S West	Very faint loop front is seen to start development at couple
of solar radii above the limb.

11:26 UT N east	Bright loop front with some twisted trailing material.
