October 29, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Points of Interest

Kreutz comet entered the C2 FOV on 2004/10/27 at ~ 22:06 UT from the SW 
(bottom a little bit to right). It fades out completely by 02:06 UT on
2004/10/28.


2004/10/28 (Thursday)

07:31 UT  E Limb	Expanding faint system of loops. Difficult to give an 
exact time of first appearance. It fades throughout C3.
Kind of continuos gusty outflow on SW. NOOA AR 10693
proiduced several B- and C-class X-ray flares all along
the day.    

09:30 UT N West Diffuse and ragged loop front preceded by an even more
diffuse front. By ~11:30 another faint and not well
defined front follows. Gusty outflow.

18:54 UT S West Initially bright ragged front. It fades throughout C3.
Gusty outflow. GOES reported a B9.0 X-ray flare from
NOAA AR 10687 (N13W38) between 18:02 - 18:08 UT with
peak emission at 18:05 UT.
 

2004/10/29 (Friday)

04:54 UT  N West	Faint and diffuse ragged front.

09:54 UT N West Very thin and elongated front.

11:30 UT ES East 'Explosive' ragged loop front. GOES reported a C1.1
X-ray flare from NOAA AR 10693 (S14E53) between 10:51 -
10:57 UT with peak emission at 10:55 UT.
