LASCO Activity Report for
October 19, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2004/10/18 (Monday)

W Limb	(1) Very slow development of a system of faint loops,
all along the day.

00:30 UT E Limb Wide ragged loop front first seen at 21:30 UT on
previous day contin ues its development slightly
toward ESE, fading throughout C2. Infalling material
above the E limb.

00:30 UT EN East Ragged outflow in the form of elongated and relative
thin ragged loop fronts all along the day.

03:54 UT S West Elongated and bright twisted structure (diffuse front).
It fades throughout C3.

12:30 UT S West Elongated spray-like front that fedes throughout C2.

12:54 UT W Limb Very faint loop front superposed in the LOS with (1).
By ~ 16:30 UT an asymmetric loop front follows moving
much faster than (1). Apparent twisted structures are
seen evolving in the LOS.

14:06 UT N West Bright and very elongated fan-like front followed at
15:06 UT by a very elongated loop front. A couple
more (smaller) at 17:06 and 18:06 UT.

15:30 UT E Limb Very diffuse loop-like front that quickly fade. A
system of ragged loop fronts begins to develop very
slowly toward ENE afterward, superposed in the LOS
with a kind of gusty outflow.

2004/10/19 (Tuesday)

01:54 UT W Limb	Apparent breaking up of a loop in the trailing material
of event reported on previous day at 12:54 UT.
Infalling material?

05:30 - 08:54 UT Temporary Data Gap.
