LASCO Activity Report for
September 01, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest
2004/08/31 (Tuesday)
01:31 UT W Limb Another ragged loop front. GOES recorded a B9.3 X-ray
flare from NOAA AR 10663 (N03W83) between 00:40 -
00:52 UT with peak emission at 00:46 UT.
05:54 UT W Limb Bright loop front with structured interior. GOES
recorded an M1.4 X-ray flare from NOAA AR 10663
(N06W82) between 05:24 - 05:47 UT with peak emission
at 05:38 UT.
06:30 UT W Limb Just behind the bright loop front reported to start at
05:54 UT, a slow twisted structure develops (flux-rope
type event). Difficult to give an exact time of first
appearance.
06:54 UT S East Faint and diffuse spray front. It fades throughout C3.
14:54 UT W Limb Faint ragged front that fades throughout C2. It is
superposed in the LOS with event at 06:30 UT. GOES
recorded a B5.5 X-ray flare from NOAA AR 10663 (N03W90)
between 14:07 - 14:20 UT with peak emission at 14:15 UT.
20:06 UT N East Vary faint loop front. It fades throughout C2.
2004/09/01 (Wednesday)
02:54 UT ES East Ragged loop front.
03:30 UT EN East Very faint ragged and diffuse front that quickly fades.
03:30 UT W Limb Ragged elongated loop front with fain loop-like
extensions to S. It is preceded at 01:54 UT by a faint
kind-of spray-like front.
06:30 UT E Limb Another very faint and ragged front that quickly fades.
14:00 - 16:40 UT EIT Shutterless Run #2
(no C3 images, ~1 C2 image/hour)
