LASCO Activity Report for
June 22, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

MERCURY entered the C2 FOV (from the right) on 2004/06/17 (Thursday).

SOHO is now in a telemetry keyhole (2004/06/16 - 2004/07/03). LASCO data
will consist of typically two (occasionally three) continuous periods of
real-time data per day.

On 2004/06/21 (Monday), 15:30 UT, LASCO will be safing for S/C maneuvers
and roll to -180 degrees (on 06/22). It will re-open on 2004/06/24
(Thursday) at 14:30 UT. LASCO will remain idle during this period and
resume its improved cadence program shortly after.

EIT 195 CME watch was interrupted on 2004/06/15 (Tuesday) at 15:00 UT
for EIT CCD bakeout calibrations. EIT CCD bakeout started on 2004/06/15
at ~ 20:00 UT. EIT CCD bakeout until 2004/07/04 (Sunday).

SOHO Telemetry Submode changed back to Submode 6 on 2004/06/17
(Thursday) at 14:45 UT. SUMER door is already close.

LASCO C2 and C3 will be in high cadence during the rest of the week:
C2 at a 12 minute cadence, C3 at the 30 minute cadence.

MERCURY entered the C3 FOV (from the right) on 2004/06/12 (Saturday).

2004/06/22

Lasco Doors are closed for SOHO maneuvers and roll to -180 degrees
for "Keyhole 5" orbit period.
