LASCO Activity Report for
April 22, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.
Points Of Interest
SOHO went into ESR again on 2004/04/22 during a DSN data gap, at 07:27 UT.
It appears to have been caused again by another spurious FSPAAD (Fine Solar
Pointing Attitude Anomaly Detector) anomaly.
SOHO went into ESR (Emergency Sun Reacquisition) on 2004/04/21 during
a DSN data gap, at 05:37 UT. The LASCO doors closed and the observation
schedule was cleared and went to idle. LASCO doors will remain closed
today. Recovery will be done no sooner than 1 hour after CDS doors have
been opened, which for CDS will occur 24 hours after the end of the
momentum management (time to be determined).
SOHO Telemetry Submode changed to Submode 5 on 2004/04/13 at 16:00 UT
(SUMER began observing on 2004/04/14). SUMER campaign runs until 2004/06/17.
In other words, LASCO synoptic observation plan cadence remains the same
but the EIT CME watch images will be reduced to half-resolution (512x512).
2004/04/21
00:06 UT S Pole Couple of wide front loops.
05:37 UT SOHO in ESR. LASCO doors close.
2004/04/22
LASCO doors closed today.
