April 13, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

SOHO Submode change to Submode 5 on 2004/04/13 at 16:00 UT (SUMER begins
observing on 2004/04/14). SUMER campaign runs until 2004/06/17.

2004/04/12

N West	Much gusty outflow all along the day starting after
the backsided 'full' halo CME on previous day.

00:30 UT S East	Very narrow ragged loop front.

00:54 UT S West	Faint asymmetric loop front extending up to above W
limb, immediately after the narrow ragged loop front
reported to start at 23:30 UT on previous day. It
			fades throughout C3.

09:54 UT S West	Ragged (spray-like) loop front. Gusty outflow well into
			next day.

11:06 UT E Limb	Ragged front (spray like). It fades in C3. It is
followed at 14:30 UT by a very narrow ragged loop
front (to S) and at 15:54 UT by a faint spray-like
front, both fading very close to the inner edge of
			C3 FOV.

12:54 UT N East	Faint asymmetric loop front. It fades in C3.

20:06 UT N West	Ragged front preceding the slow development of
			structured feature (*).

21:30 UT E Limb	Ragged loop front developing slightly toward SE, fading
			in C3.

2004/04/13

00:30 UT N West	(*) Slow development of structured (twisted) feature.
Difficult to give an exact time of first appearance.

05:54 UT N East	Bright loop front.

10:54 UT S East	Ragged loop front.

11:30 UT S West	Ragged front.
