LASCO Activity Report for
March 26, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

SOHO is now in a telemetry keyhole (2004/03/19 - 2004/04/04). LASCO data
will consist of typically two (occasionally three) continuous periods of
real-time data per day.

Beginning at 00:00 UT on March 18, 2004 EIT will be in CCD bakeout mode;
No EIT images until April 5, 2004.

2004/03/25

	00:00 - 01:20 UT	Data Gap.

01:40 UT N Pole	At the same PA as event on previous day, very faint
and ragged front already in progress developing toward
			NW.

03:40 UT S West	Faint ragged front starts developing. Evolution could
not be tracked because of data gap.

	04:40 - 15:20 UT	Data Gap.

15:40 UT W Limb	Wide asymmetric loop front (extensions up to N Pole)
already in progress after data gap.

18:40 UT S West	Several bright and small (and narrow) ragged fronts
			along streamer.

21:17 UT N East Bright and very narrow spray-like front closer to E
limb. It fades close to the inner edge of C3. Faint
and apparently slower front to S that fades in C2.

2004/03/26

04:40 UT E Limb	Faint and narrow spray front. It fades in C2.

05:40 UT S West	At PA coincident with that of the small ragged fronts
on previous day, faint ragged loop front.

07:20 - 15:00 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap.

21:00 - 24:00 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap.
