LASCO Activity Report for
March 25, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

SOHO is now in a telemetry keyhole (2004/03/19 - 2004/04/04). LASCO data
will consist of typically two (occasionally three) continuous periods of
real-time data per day.

Beginning at 00:00 UT on March 18, 2004 EIT will be in CCD bakeout mode;
No EIT images until April 5, 2004.

2004/03/24

	00:00 - 08:00 UT	Data Gap.

08:00 UT S West	Extremely faint asymmetric ragged loop front already
in progress after data gap. Very faint in C3.

	12:40 - 16:20 UT	Data Gap.

17:00 UT N Pole	Ragged loop front developing toward NW. After the data
gap it can still be seen in C3 FOV (01:53 UT on next
day). An extremely faint front can be guessed in
C2 by ~17:00 UT farther out of the front, extending up
to the W limb (no signatures in C3). The ragged front
is preceded at 16:20 UT by a fainter ragged front at
the N Pole that quickly fades out.

	18:40 - 24:00 UT	Data Gap.

2004/03/25

00:00 - 01:20 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap.

01:40 UT N Pole	At the same PA as previous event very faint front
already in progress developing toward NW.

03:40 UT S West	Faint ragged front starts developing.

05:00 - 15:05 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap.

21:45 - 24:00 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap.
