LASCO Activity Report for
March 22, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

SOHO is now in a telemetry keyhole (2004/03/19 - 2004/04/04). LASCO data
will consist of typically two (occasionally three) continuous periods of
real-time data per day.

Beginning at 00:00 UT on March 18, 2004 EIT will be in CCD bakeout mode;
No EIT images until April 5, 2004.

2004/03/19

03:20 UT N East	Ragged front along streamer. It fades throughout C3.

06:20 UT S West Faint and diffuse loop front slightly to S of event at
			16:20 UT on previous day.

10:41 UT S West	Bright loop front and inner core to N of previous
			event. Gusty outflow.

12:00 UT E Limb	Faint and very narrow ragged front developing slightly
toward SE. It fades in C2.

17:20 UT N West	Spray-like front. It is followed at ~ 20:40 UT by a
			ragged and fainter front.

20:40 UT S East	Faint and elongated ragged loop front.

2004/03/20

06:40 UT N East	Faint and diffuse front.

	07:40 - 11:40 UT Data Gap.

18:40 UT S West	Ragged loop front preceded at ~ 16:40 by a fainter and
			smaller ragged front.

20:40 UT E Limb	Faint spray front. It fades in C2.

2004/03/21

			progress after data gap.

	05:20 - 15:40 UT Data Gap.

15:40 UT S Pole	Wide and faint ragged loop front already in progress.
Leg on SW limb at PA that matches that of previous
			event.
