March 04, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.

Points Of Interest

2004/03/03

S East	Development of event reported to start at 23:54 UT on
previous day continues (CME coming out from behind the
SW limb -as seen in EIT-, characterized by a bright
ragged loop front, cavity, and complex twisted inner
			structure).

00:30 UT S West Following the front reported to start at 22:30 UT on
previous day, a fainter front develops also towards
SSW, most probably related to the C1.7 X-ray flare on
NOAA AR 0567 at 23:27 UT. Both fronts mentioned
fade close to the inner edge of C3.

06:06 UT N East	Bright spray-like front. EIT Fe XII running difference
images show the event coming out from just behind the
NE limb, starting at 05:36 UT.

11:06 UT W Limb	Faint spray front followed at 12:06 UT slightly to N
by a very faint ragged loop front developing towards
NW that fades in C2. The faint spray fades out close
to the inner edge of C3.

12:06 UT S East	Very faint loop front that fades in C3.

22:30 UT W Limb	Very narrow ragged front. It fades throughout C2.

2004/03/04

02:06 UT S East	Very faint loop front. Structure to N 'pushed' aside
			during development.

08:15 - 12:05 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap
