LASCO Activity Report for
February 19, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2004/02/18

00:06 UT S West	Following event reported to occur at 04:54 UT on
previous day, narrow ragged front followed at around
03:06 UT by kind of reconexion event at ~ 3.60 solar
radii. Material going out and also falling down.
			Gusty outflow.

07:31 UT W Limb	Faint fan-like front, not discernible in C3.

15:00 - 17:40 UT EIT Shutterless Mode (Only three C2 images)

18:08 UT N West	Faint spray front preceded at 15:48 UT by a jet-like
			front. It fades throughout C2.

18:54 UT E Limb	Ragged loop front and trailing material develops
as a faint ballon-type CME, moving toward SE. It fades
throughout C3. It is preceded by a faint ragged front
to N that fades throughout C2.

23:06 UT S West Faint ragged loop front followed at 02:54 UT on next
day by a faint asymmetric ragged loop front.

23:54 UT N West	Narrow spray front. It fades throughout C2.

2004/02/19

05:55 UT S East	Ragged loop front preceded by the slow development
of a loops' system along the streamer. Extremely faint
extensions over the S Pole to SW can be seen developing
by the time. Difficult to discern whether they belong
to the same event or is all part of a complex event.
Moreover, by 13:54 UT a faint system of loops can be
			seen in C2 spanning ~ 120 deg, from PA ~ 115 - 235.

10:30 UT E Limb	Faint spray front.
