LASCO Activity Report for
February 18, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest
2004/02/17
W Limb CME reported to occur at 23:54 UT on previous day
develops along the day, mainly toward NW. Visible
signatures of the event in C2 gone by 14:30 UT.
04:54 UT S West Very slow development of faint loops' system along line
of streamer. By 09:30 UT inner structure begins to
evolve. Difficult to give an exact time. At 16:54 UT
narrow asymmetric loop front. Global development
continues till beginning of next day.
07:31 UT E Limb Narrow jet-like front developing slightly toward NE. It
vanishes close to the inner edge of C2.
07:54 UT E Limb Extremely narrow ragged loop front.
12:54 UT W Limb Narrow ragged front that fades throughout C2 preceded
at 12:30 UT by a ragged loop front to N.
14:30 UT S East Jet-like front followed at 17:30 UT by narrow ragged
front that fades close to the inner edge of C3 FOV.
20:06 UT W Limb Fan-like front followed at 22:06 UT by bright elongated
and thin front.
23:30 UT E Limb Spray front developing toward NE. It fades troughout C3.
2004/02/18
00:06 UT S West Following event reported to occur at 04:54 UT on
previous day, narrow ragged front followed at around
03:06 UT by kind of reconexion event at ~ 3.60 solar
radii. Material going out and also falling down.
07:31 UT W Limb Faint fan-like front.
08:50 - 13:15 UT Temporary DSN Data Gap
