LASCO Activity Report for
February 4, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2004/02/03

00:06 UT S East Very slow development of a loop's system along streamer.

02:54 UT N East	Fast ragged elongated loop front, brightest to S at the
			beginning. It fades throughout C3.

04:30 UT S Pole	Extremely faint blob falling down and a similar one
going outwards. Separation point at ~ 3.2 solar radii
			(PA ~193).

07:31 UT N East Bright spray front followed at 09:06 UT by a narrow
			ragged loop front.

08:30 UT N West Fairly faint spray-like front. It fades throughout C2.

16:30 UT N East	Extremely faint ragged and elongated loop front, barely
			visible in C3.

21:30 UT N East	Ragged front followed at 00:30 UT on next day by a
ragged loops' system that develops slowly 'inside'
			streamer.

21:30 UT W Limb	Spray front. It fades throughout C3.

2004/02/04

S East	Event reported to start at 00:06 UT on previous day
continues slow development resulting in a complete
'streamer blowout' by 08:54 UT (C2). Difficult to
determine exact time of first appearance. At 06:42 UT
(C3 Time) a structured inner core first appears in C3
fov, moving faster than the loops' front LE.

00:30 UT E Limb	Narrow and faint spray front followed by another one
at 02:54 UT, at PA that roughly matches that of the
northern footpoint of streamer blowout event. They
			fade in C2.

11:54 UT W Limb	Fast bright loop front and cavity in progress.
