LASCO Activity Report for
January 16, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2004/01/15

00:30 UT S East	Gusty outflow continues.

03:30 UT N East	Jet-like front. It fades throughout C2.

06:30 UT W Limb	Jet-like front slightly to N. It fades throughout C3.

07:31 UT S East	Loop-like front brightest to S with cavity and
			trailing material.

08:06 UT S West	Spray-like front.

11:06 UT W Limb	Ragged spray-like front. Twisted trailing material.

18:06 UT N East	Jet, followed at 20:30 UT by faint asymmetric ragged
loop front to S, barely discernible in C3 fov.

2004/01/16

01:54 UT W Limb	Fairly symmetric faint loop front preceded by a jet
at 00:54 UT. It fades close to the inner edge of C2 fov.

05:06 UT W Limb	Bright loop front with cavity and trailing material
that turns elongated in C3 fov with a ragged LE.
At 10:54 UT 'boomerang-shaped' infalling feature.
Similar feature traveling outward. Separation point
			at ~ 3.5 solar radii (PA ~257).

04:30 UT N East	Ragged front of a big twisted structure.
