LASCO Activity Report for
January 13, 2004 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2004/01/12

06:30 UT E Limb	Ragged fan-like front. It fades throughout C2.

10:06 UT S East	Narrow ragged front followed by gusty outflow.
At the time of writing gusty outflow continues.
Some of the brightest ragged fronts in the outflow
			at: at 14:54, 17:30, 20:54, and 00:54 next day
(all universal times of first appearance in C2).

12:54 UT S West	Narrow spray front.

13:31 U N West	Slow rising helmet-like front followed by
loop front with slight cavity, core and twisted
			trailing material. Background subtracted C3
images show a typical 'ballon-type' event.

15:30 UT E Limb	Faint ragged loop front. It fades throughout C3.

22:30 UT W Limb	Spray front at the position of the southern leg
of the loop front mentioned in event at 15:30 UT
developing slightly to N. It fades in C3.

23:06 UT E Limb	Ragged front followed by gusty outflow.

2004/01/13

06:54 UT S East	Ragged front to S of event at 23:06 UT previous
			day followed by gusty outflow.

08:54 UT S East	Infalling 'boomerang-shaped' feature to S of event
at 06:54 UT. Similar feature travelling outward.
Separation occurs at ~ 4.20 solar radii.

11:30 UT S Pole	Ragged loop front with cavity and trailing
			material.
