LASCO Activity Report for
October 28, 2003 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

LASCO images severely degraded following the
X18 proton flare from AR 0486 2003/10/28

Bright sungrazing comet visible in C3 and C2
images from 2003/10/27

2003/10/27

05:30 UT N West	Ragged loop front disintegrates through C2

08:30 UT W Limb	Wide bright loop front with cavity and
			much gusty outflow

09:30 UT S East	Faint ragged front fades through C2

12:54 UT N West	Fairly bright amorphous loop front spans
close to W limb. EIT prominence eruption

14:06 UT E Limb	Narrow ragged front

20:06 UT N West	Fairly bright amorphous loop front spans
close to W limb, similar to 12:54 event
