Points Of Interest

Comet C/2002 X5 (Kudo-Fujikawa) is now visible in the
C3 field of view. A special observing campaign is in
progress, through 2003/01/31.

Synoptic observations will be modified during this period.


2003/01/29

00:39 UT  S East	Faint thin well-defined loops begin to rise
			extremely slowly along bright streamer

00:39 UT  N East	Brightest of several extremely faint loop
			fronts spanning up to N pole

02:39 UT  S East	Narrow ragged front along streamer

04:39 UT  N West	Ragged loop front, quite wide, spans up to
			N pole. Some trailing material 

15:06 UT  N East	Very faint spray

18:39 UT  W Limb	Faint nebulous front

2003/01/30

01:25 UT  W Limb	Very faint jet, slow

09:39 UT  Halo		Faint ragged front on NW develops to bright
			bright loop front systems in NW and W and
			ragged front in S by 10:06, then full halo
			CME with complex morphology by 11:39 though
			emission in E is faint. Huge EIT filament
			eruption from NE to NW beginning ~06 UT
