January 27, 2003 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

Comet C/2002 X5 (Kudo-Fujikawa) is now visible in the
C3 field of view. A special observing campaign is in
progress, through 2003/01/31.

Synoptic observations will be modified during this period.

04:30 UT S East	Faint ragged nebulous loop front with
			slight cavity and possible extremely
faint extension up to N pole. M1.9 X-ray
			flare in AR 0266, S22E10

09:30 UT W Limb	Very narrow spray

09:54 UT N West	Extremely faint loop frony

12:30 UT S East	Faint loop front with cavity, some
			gusty outflow follows

12:30 UT S East	Ragged asymmetric front in progress

13:31 UT N West	Ragged front, initially quite bright, resolves
			to multiple-loop front system
