LASCO Activity Report for
November 18, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

LASCO is running a high-cadence C2 campaign during
EIT CCD bakeout

Planet Mercury is now transiting the C3 field of view,
moving R to L

2002/11/15

01:48 UT E Limb	Fairly wide bright loop front with complex
			core, some prolonged outflow

08:24 UT S East	Narrow ragged front along streamer, another
			at 11:36, spray-like front at 20:12

15:24 UT N West	Faint ragged front, faint slow loops follow

20:36 UT W Limb	Faint narrow loop front

2002/11/16

02:28 UT S West	Faint loop fronts along streamer, narrower
			brighter front at 04:24

07:12 UT S West	Moderately narrow bright loop front, quite
fast. Cavity and structured core follow.
Very faint extensions to E and W limbs
spans ~160 deg. Probably backsided since
no X-ray or Type II events correspond

23:12 UT S West	Fairly faint ragged loop front, some
			gusty outflow

2002/11/17

03:24 UT N West	Fairly bright loop front, fainter loops follow

05:48 UT E Limb	Faint spray

06:36 UT N East	Faint narrow front along streamer, further
			faint slow narrow loops follow

17:12 UT S East	Faint narrow spray-like front, some
			gusty outflow

2002/11/18

06:12 UT S West	Narrow nebulous front, fades through C2

10:36 UT S West	Wide thick bright loop front with cavity
and bright structured helical core, some
			continued outflow
