LASCO Activity Report for
October 30, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

None today

2002/10/29

00:26 UT S East	Extremely faint asymmetric front

01:50 UT S West Slow loop fronts and loops along wide bright
streamer, blowout by 21:26 when wider faster
loops emerge. Much trailing material well
			into following day

02:26 UT N East	Narrow front with cavity, quite fast
			and bright

04:50 UT N East	Thin bright loop front

05:06 UT S West	Ragged spray-like front along streamer,
similar smaller events at 08:50, 10:26

05:26 UT N East	Bright ragged loop front with cavity and
some trailing material, very slow loops
			eventually follow

07:50 UT N East	Very slow narrow loop system along streamer,
generally obscured by other activity, but
leads to partial blowout by following day

08:26 UT N West	Spray-like front, sereval similar smaller
			events preceed and follow

10:06 UT S West	Very narrow loop front, quite bright

13:27 UT S East	Nebulous asymmetric front with slight cavity

15:50 UT S West	Moderately bright fan

15:50 UT N East	Fairly wide bright loop front disintegrates
somewhat through C3. Gusty outflow follows

17:06 UT N East	Narrow loop front/loop system moves slowly
along streamer system. To N of 07:50 system

2002/10/30

01:27 UT W Limb	Sequence of extremely faint loop fronts

05:50 UT E Limb	Ragged loop front along S region of wide bright
			streamer complex. Significant gusty outflow.
Another ragged front somewhat to N at 07:27

08:06 UT S West	Fairly bright spray, possible slight cavity

12:26 UT E Limb	Narrow spray, quite bright
