Points Of Interest
C2 high-cadence pB sequence campaign now running.
C2 pB sequences being taken every hour at the expense
of 1 normal C2 image and 1 normal C3 image.
Campaign runs to 2002/08/12.
Planet Mars is now in C3's field of view, moving L to R
SOHO comets now total 497. Perihelion of SOHO-500 imminent?

05:42 UT S West Narrow loop front along streamer
09:30 UT N West Faint narrow front along streamer, fades
10:06 UT S West Moderately bright spray-like front
along same streamer. Slight cavity,
smaller similar event at 11:42
14:06 UT E Limb Extremely faint loop front
17:06 UT N East Narrow bright front along streamer
shortly followed by
17:30 UT N West Thin initially bright loop front with
cavity, fades through C2
19:31 UT HALO Very faint full halo CME visible all around
occulting disk. Backsided event
21:42 UT S West Large blob

08:06 UT N West Moderately wide faint front with cavity
