LASCO Activity Report for
June 24, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Additional stray light in C3 images. Reason presently unknown.
Note that the data processing for C3 exaggerates the effect
of this stray light - the actual counts in the raw images are
higher, but not extraordinarily so

2002/06/21

08:30 UT W Limb	Another moderately faint ragged front
along streamer, wider and brighter than
			previous event, some trailing material

10:06 UT N East	Extremely faint ragged front, another
			at 18:30

20:54 UT S West	Wide bright loop front with much trailing
material. Further faint loop fronts follow

2002/06/22

11:30 UT S East	Faint ragged loop front fades through C2

14:54 UT S West	Faint narrow ragged front along streamer,
			some trailing material

19:31 UT S West	Narrow spray-like front, to N of previous
			event

2002/06/23

03:30 UT N West	Moderately wide initially bright ragged
fan-like front, fades somewhat through C2.
			M1.6 X-ray flare N13W70 (AR 9997?)

2002/06/24

00:54 UT Partial	Thin wide bright well-defined multiple-loop
Halo front system in SW eventually spans ~150 deg.
Thin cavity and multiple-loop core follow,
then much trailing material. Slow event

10:06 UT - time of writing	Temporary DSN data gap
