LASCO Activity Report for
June 20, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Additional stray light in C3 images. Reason presently unknown.
Note that the data processing for C3 exaggerates the effect
of this stray light - the actual counts in the raw images are
higher, but not extraordinarily so

2002/06/19

00:54 UT S Pole	Faint spray-like front, quite wide

03:54 UT N East	Fairly narrow ragged front along streamer,
quite fast and bright. Cavity follows

04:30 UT N East	Slow moderately bright loop front,
			to N of previous event

08:06 UT S Pole	Narrow front with cavity, quite
			fast and bright

10:54 UT S West	Fairly narrow well-defined loop front,
			fades through C2

15:06 UT N East	Wide multiple-loop front system moves slowly
along streamer and removes much of it.
Cavity and small core-like region follow,
then much trailing material. Streamer in SE
			disrupted

2002/06/20

08:30 UT N East	Widest and brightest of a sequence of
			fairly bright blobs with cavities,
			others at 02:54, 05:30
