LASCO Activity Report for
January 09, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Comet 96P/Machholz is in C2 and C3's fields of view, moving through the
NE quadrant. Bright and clear with a long tail. Note that a large number
of today's observations are taken at reduced exposure times due to the
brightness of this comet.

Venus is in C2's field of view moving right to left (large object on right).
