LASCO Activity Report for
December 10, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Mercury is in C3's field of view, moving right to left.

2001/12/07

01:54 UT N East	Bright loop front with cavity, along streamer,
			follows extremely faint, slow loops

02:30 UT S West	Bright loop front with cavity and loop core,
			along streamer

03:30 UT N West	Very faint, fast, wide loop front, crosses pole.
			Some brighter core-like material follows,
			especially over pole

10:30 UT S East	Fairly narrow bright front with cavity and
			small knotted core

14:06 UT N West	Wide bright front along streamer with cavity
and core. EIT eruptive prominence? Quite slow

2001/12/08

00:54 UT N West	Narrow jet.

06:54 UT East Limb	Large loop front over limb with core. Very
evident of a separate event from behind the
faster front which shows eruptive filament
characteristics. Much complex ouflow though day.

18:06 UT N East	Spiraling loops over limb. In trails of previous
event. Very slow. Breaks free at 21:54, filament
			related.

2001/12/09

05:30 UT SS East	Narrow jet-like event.

17:30 UT SS West	Small jet.

20:30 UT East Limb	Dual event over limb. CME erupts with rough LE
as a multiloop eruptive filament emerges beside it.
First event didapates quickly. Filament outflows.

22:06 UT N West	Fast jet.

2001/12/10

03:06 UT NN West	Slow blob of material, small.

05:30 UT N West	Ragged spike jet.

10:30 UT West Limb	Wide multi event. Faint with rough front.
			Complex scattered outflows.
