LASCO Activity Report for
December 3, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Mercury is in C3's field of view, moving right to left

2001/11/30

14:30 UT S East	Wide, bright multiple-loop-front system,
fairly slow, much trailing material well
into next day especially towards S
			extremity including slow prominence
			material at 18:54

16:54 UT W Limb	Narrow bright spray

18:06 UT N East	Narrow bright front, quite fast, fades
			through C2

20:30 UT W Limb	Faint loop front with cavity, fades rapidly

2001/12/01

16:06 UT S East	Very faint loop front

16:30 UT S West	Wide bright loop front with cavity and core
and much trailing material. Possible faint
			extension to NW

17:54 UT N East	Fairly wide loop front, quite wide and fast
			with some gusty outflow

2001/12/02

15:06 UT W Limb	Faint multiple-loop system is rapidly
overtaken by wide, bright loop front
with cavity and much trailing material

22:06 - 23:54 UT	Permanent data gap due to
				ground station problem

23:54 UT W Limb	Very similar to previous event, already
in progress at this time. Somewhat wider
faster and brighter with some very bright
			core-like material following later

2001/12/03

12:06 UT S East	Ragged loop front fades and disintegrates
through C2. Fairly wide and fast
