LASCO Activity Report for
November 15, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

No normal LASCO images after ~09:00 UT 2001/11/14
through ~16:00 UT 2001/11/15 while 360 deg spacecraft
roll maneuvers are in progress. Sporadic data will be
available during this time, at various roll angles

No LASCO data 00:06 - 08:07 UT 2001/11/15 due to
offpoint flag anomaly while at roll angle 270 deg
for overnight dwell.

Two Kreutz comets discovered over the holiday weekend:
SOHO-372 (disc. X Zhou) last observed 2001/11/11 at
09:50 UT, at 4.5 Rs, PA 173; SOHO-373 (disc. X Zhou)
last observed 2001/11/12 at 18:50 UT, at 5 Rs, PA 180

2001/11/14

02:26 UT E Limb	Narrow loop front, quite bright, faster
			core follows

~09:00 UT	Last normal LASCO images until ~16:00 UT
			2001/11/15 while roll maneuvers are
			in progress

C2 ratio movie of preliminary roll observations
C3 ratio movie of preliminary roll observations

22:00 UT W Limb	Fairly wide loop front with some trailing
			material, probably associated with M2
flare in AR9690. Sparse data due to
			maneuvers and subsequent data gap

2001/11/15

00:06 - 08:07 UT	No LASCO data due to offpoint flag anomaly

12:06 UT E Limb	Narrow ragged front along streamer
