LASCO Activity Report for
November 7, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

LASCO's doors are now closed in preparation for momentum management
and station keeping.

Data from ~17:30 UT 2001/11/04 are badly degraded due to an ongoing
proton storm. Images between 2001/11/05 ~15:30 UT and 2001/11/06
~05:29 UT are particularly degraded, presumably due to the oncoming
CME/shock, and associated shock-drift particle acceleration. Now
that the shock and CME have passed, levels are dropping.

2001/11/06

Not possible to identify any CMEs in today's degraded data

21:00 UT	LASCO doors closed for momentum management
			and station keeping

2001/11/07

	LASCO doors closed
