LASCO Activity Report for
September 7, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting
Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence
Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest
None today
2001/09/07
02:06 UT E Limb Narrow bright front/blob, possibly part of
previous day's 16:30 event but faster
06:06 UT W Limb Faint loop front, fairly narrow
08:06 UT S East Faint narrow front/spray
15:53 UT N West Ragged front rises slowly along streamer. Some
core-like material follows later. Probably starts
a little sooner
15:53 UT S West Similar to above event but wider and a little
faster. May also start somewhat earlier
16:06 UT W Limb Ragged front extends over N West, resolves
to two seperate multiple loop systems. These
last three events together resemble a partial
halo CME but at least two are backsided
23:30 UT S West Bright blob/narrow front along northern
extremity of wide streamer. First of a
near-continuous sequence of such events
over the next three days
2001/09/08
03:54 UT E Limb Loops rise very slowly along streamer. Fronts
and cavity at 08:31, then numerous arcades
06:31 UT S East Faint loop front, another at 10:33
20:31 UT S East First clear images of extremely slow system
of fronts followed by core-like material and
arcades into next day. Fills quadrant
2001/09/09
11:06 UT S West Fairly faint ragged front. Another at 14:31
14:54 UT S East Fairly wide front with cavity, core and
arcades, quite fast
15:54 UT S West Sequence of well-defined loop fronts,
fairly bright
2001/09/10
03:30 UT S East Nebulous front with cavity and faint arcades
12:31 UT N West Faint ragged front along narrow faint streamer.
Brighter material follows at 13:54
