Kreutz comet SOHO-347 (disc. S Hoenig) visible in C3 data from 2001/09/03 and C2 data from 2001/09/04. Very bright with long bright tail. Also observed in color sequences in both C3 and C2. Last measured 2001/09/04 at 17:40 UT, at 4.5 Rs, PA 246. Due to the color sequences and data gaps the next image is at 19:29 and at this time the tail is clearly visible but the coma has vanished behind the C2 occulting disk. Kreutz comet SOHO-348 (disc. M Meyer) presently visible in C3 data, last observed 2001/09/05 at 09:42 UT, at 10.7 Rs, PA 243.
