These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.


Points Of Interest

Probable Kreutz comet (SOHO-315?) disc. D Biesecker
in C2 on 2001/15/22. Last observed at 12:26 UT at
5.66 Rs and at PA 200.

Saturn is presently transiting C3's field of view, 
moving left to right below the ecliptic plane.

2001/05/21

01:50 UT  N East	Faint narrow front

02:50 UT  N East	Similar to earlier event, initially very narrow
			but widens in C2

03:52 UT  N Pole	Bright narrow front with some gusty outflow

09:26 UT  N East	Fairly wide bright front with cavity and bright
			core. Some arcades follow

18:26 UT  N West	Faint front with bright central feature which
			resolves to small slow loops. All fades in C2

23:06 UT  S West	Ragged front, initially bright but fades in C2.
			Some slow loops/core material follow

23:50 UT  N West	Bright blob, somewhat faster than 18:26 event

2001/05/22

03:52 UT  W Limb	Very faint narrow front

07:29 UT  S West	Faint slow loops start to rise after narrow
			streamer brightens for hours beforehand

08:06 UT  N West	Faint narrow spray
