April 4, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

Proton fluxes in both C2 and C3 still raised but returning to normal.

2001/04/03

02:26 UT N East	Narrow faint ragged front rapidly overtaken by ...

03:26 UT E Limb	Wide thick bright front with cavity and core.
N and S Pole streamers disrupted. Fast, ~1200km/s.

05:50 UT S West	Wide fan

07:37 UT S East	Slow loops open, prominence material emerges.

18:50 UT N East	Large initially bright elongated front fades
			in C2, cavity follows

19:50 UT E Limb	Wide bright loop front followed by cavity and
second bright loop. Some prominence material at
very end? N and S Pole streamers disrupted.

2001/04/04

05:26 UT S East	Ragged front from southern edge of 19:50 event
but rather slower, different event same region?

08:26 UT N West	Bright wide spray/ragged front along streamer.
