LASCO Activity Report for
March 22, 2001 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

Kreutz sungrazing(?) comet in C3 field of view. It can be seen at
~17 Rs at PA 127 in the 11:42 UT image. Brighter than average.

2001/03/23

02:50 UT S West	Narrow front along streamer

10:26 UT N East	Narrow spray

10:50 UT S West	Very faint loops, probably backsided

11:50 UT N West	Bright loops/fronts ejected along streamer.
			Bright complex prominence material follows,
			Further prolonged gusty outflow

15:50 UT S Pole	Narrow bright jet

18:50 UT N East	Slow ragged front along streamer,
			gusty outflow follows

21:26 UT W Limb	Sequence of 4 ragged fronts, second is largest
			and brightest

2001/03/24

00:50 UT N East	Sizeable fronts in gusty outflow from 18:50 event

02:06 UT W Limb	Wide bright front with cavity and gusty outflow.
Seperate event from 21:26 though same area

	02:50 - 04:26 UT	Temporary data gap

07:27 UT S East	Large blob/faint front

09:26 UT S East	Faint loop front, backsided?

13:27 UT S West	Ragged front along streamer

	17:06 - 23:59 UT	Temporary data gap

2001/03/25

	00:00 - 15:26 UT	Temporary data gap

15:50 UT E Limb	Very large bright blob

17:06 UT N Pole	Thin front initiqally bright fades in C2. Fainter
extensions to ~PA120 and possibly to ~PA160 so
			possible partial halo.

19:27 UT E Limb	Vary faint ragged front

2001/03/26

00:26 UT W Limb	Slow bright ragged front along narrow faint
			streamer. Prolonged outflow includes cross-hatching

05:50 UT N East	Faint ragged front/fan followed by flux ropes

12:50 UT W Limb	Faint loop(s)
