Points Of Interest

Kreutz comet SOHO-294 entered the C2 field of view at 18:06 on 2/7. 
It could be traced all the way to the C2 occulting disk at 21:30.

07:31 UT  S Pole	Narrow-ish blob

10:06 UT  Halo		Tentative first appearance of front (bad data
			for next hour). Brightest over W limb from 
			N Pole, but discernible around rest of occulting 
			disk. No EIT or GOES counterpart, very faint with 
			no obvious cavity or arcades, therefore determined 
			BACKSIDED

11:30 UT  W Limb	Very slow rising loops, faint, S of limb, ~3Rs 
			Discernible until ~03:00 2/8

15:54 UT  E Limb	Very narrow jet

17:06 UT  N East	Faint narrow front with some arcades

21:54 UT  S East	Bright front and cavity, some arcades      

2001/02/08

	03:06 - 08:18	Temp DSN data gap

08:18 UT  E Limb	Wide (~90deg) system of fronts and loops, 
			already in progress

08:18 UT  S Pole	Small faint blob, already in progress
