Subject: SOHO/LASCO Partial HALO CME 130116 UCMEO 93001 30116 1900/ 30116 61900 80318 0911/ 318// 223// 30714 30116 61845 81935 37731 11650 1222/ 99999 PLAIN SOHO/LASCO observed a Partial HALO CME on January 16, 2013. Event is first seen in C2 at 19:00 UT as a loop appearing in the Southwest. The event develops multi-loops with cavity and core. The front expands with extensions PA 91-318 degrees for total coverage of 227 degrees in width. The event continues into the C3 field beginning 19:30 to 03:18 UT leaving the C3 field of view at 30Rsun in the Southwest. Time/height measurements were marked to 5 points in C2 with speeds of 737.4 Km/sec at position angle 237 degrees. The event is marked to 10 points in C3. Speeds average through both fields to 714.4 Km/sec at PA 237 degrees. Acceleration -18.01 m/sec^s. SDO/AIA spacecraft maneuvers 14:30-19:30 UT. PROBA2/SWAP 174 shows a flare 18:47-19:49 UT of AR11650 located [S31,W77] followed by post loop arcade. STEREO: BEACON Data COR2 A, 18:54-21:54 UT expanding burst over the East hemisphere. Preliminary time/height measure gives 995.6 km/sec velocity at LE. EUVI A, 13:05-17:55 UT data gap. Flare 18:45-19:35 UT of AR11650 on limb in Southeast. Filament channel west of AR11650 becomes activated at 07:00 UT. Channel erupts during the EUVI data gap period. Slight dimming of the channel after gap. COR2 B, 17:40-24:00 UT data gap. EUVI B, n/a NOAA reports a long duration C2.2 Xray flare of AR 11650 18:21/19:23/20:05 UT. The observation of this event is considered 'FAIR'. This CME is determined a FRONTSIDED event. The filament eruption west of AR11650 is evidence of the series of loops seen in the LASCO emission. This filament material is associated but may not be Earth bound.
