Subject: SOHO/LASCO Partial HALO CME 121005 UCMEO 93001 21006 1730/ 21005 60248 81230 1241/ 325// 323// 40452 21005 60257 81150 11584 32030 2212/ 99999 PLAIN SOHO/LASCO observed a Partial HALO CME on October 05, 2012. Event is first seen in C2 at 02:48 UT as a loop appearing over the South-pole. The event develops multi-loops with cavity and core. The front expands with extensions PA 124-325 degrees for total coverage of 201 degrees in width. The event continues into the C3 field beginning 04:42 to 12:30 UT leaving the C3 field of view at 30Rsun in the South. Time/height measurements were marked to 6 points in C2 with speeds of 368.6 Km/sec at position angle 201 degrees. The event is marked to 9 points in C3. Speeds average through both fields to 452.2 Km/sec at PA 201 degrees. Acceleration 4.99 m/sec^s. SDO/AIA 193 shows a dimming along a filament channel 02:39-09:33 UT along [S35] East of and adjacent to AR 11584 the AR is currently at location [S22, W38]. 304 shows ribbon flaring on disk along a filament channel West to East in the SW quadrant beginning 02:57-11:48 UT with post loop arcade. The filament channel is located at and centered on [S30,W20]. STEREO: BEACON Data COR2 A, 10/4 22:24-03:24 UT data gap. In progress, 03:24 UT loop with cavity and core in the SE. Preliminary time/height measure gives 530.5 km/sec velocity at LE. EUVI A, 10/4 22:15-03:25 UT data gap. In progress, CME 04:24-07:15 UT with post loops at 09:45-12:35 UT from region over SE limb. COR2 B, 10/4 22:40-04:55 UT data gap. In progress, 04:55 loop(s) expanding over the West hemisphere. Preliminary time/height measure gives 568.2 km/sec velocity at LE. EUVI B, 10/4 22:46-04:55 UT data gap. n/a NOAA reports a long duration B7.8 Xray flare of AR 11584 03:17/07:30/10:46 UT. This report appears to be associated with the on disk flaring of the filament. The observation of this event is considered 'GOOD'. This CME is determined a FRONTSIDED event.
