SOHO/LASCO Partial HALO CME 120728 UCMEO 93001 20730 2050/ 20728 62112 80954 0291/ 246// 123// 30551 20728 62048 82106 25425 11532 1112/ 99999 PLAIN SOHO/LASCO observed a partial HALO CME on July 28, 2012. Event is first seen in C2 beginning 21:12 UT with a loop over the SE. The event expands with extensions PA 29 - 246 for a total width of 217 degrees wide. The event continues into the C3 field beginning 12:42-09:54 UT out to the edge of field at 30 Rsun in the Southeast. Time/height measurements were marked at 6 points in C2 with speeds of 668.2 Km/sec at pa 118 degrees. The event is marked to 9 points in C3. Speeds average through both fields to 551.4 Km/sec at PA 118 degrees. Acceleration -25.33 m/sec^2. SDO AIA 193 shows a flare of AR 11523 23:48-21:06 UT located [S25,E54]. A dimming is seen in the SE quadrant with wave. SDO AIA 304 shows activated prominence material on SW limb erupting by 18:48 UT and may be associated with the cme. STEREO: BEACON data COR2 A, 21:24 UT, an expanding loop over the southeast. Preliminary time/height measure gives 616.7 km/sec velocity at LE. EUVI A 195, 20:45 UT flare starts from AR 11532 over SE limb. Data gap 20:45-21:15 UT COR2 B, 19:24-23:54 UT Data gap. CME over the west and southwest at edge of field at the first frame. EUVI A 195, 19:06-00:06 UT data gap. n/a NOAA reports an M6.1 Xray flare 20:44-20:56-21:04 UT from AR 11532 at location [S25,E54] The observation of this event is considered 'FAIR'. This CME is determined FRONTSIDED.
