Event began in C2 at 04:30 UT as a very faint ragged loop front centered at PA 246 degrees. The event quickly developed to material at all positions for a total coverage of 360 degrees. The event continues into the C3 field beginning at 06:18 UT. As the event quickly dissipated we tracked through the field as the event ends at approximately 14:18 UT to 15.8 Rsun. Time/height measurements were marked to 17 points and calculated to velocities of this event averaging 286. Km/sec at position angle 240 degrees. The event was first seen in EIT at 02:36-03:24 UT with a flare of AR 11060 then located at [N25E16]. The flare produces a faint EIT wave expanding predominately with southern direction and a post arcade. GOES reports a long duration class B3.7 xray flare of AR 11060 on April 8, 2010 02:30-03:25 UT. The events in EIT and Lasco are most probably related to this flare and confirming a FRONTSIDED HALO event. EIT and LASCO images, movies and time/height information for this event is available on the web at: http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/lasco/observations/halo/2010/100408/ Best regards, Kevin Schenk SOHO Mission EIT and LASCO Operations NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center, USA BT
