SOHO/LASCO Halo CME  20251110

COMMENTS:  Near symetric HALO CME resulting from an X1.7 class X-ray flare of AR 14274
                          centered at location [N27, E03]. 
                          LASCO velocity:  988.2 km/sec at PA 122 degrees.  Acceleration:  75.75 m/sec^2.
                         
                          Solar energetic particle event detected by SOHO.  The flux of one or more of the >28.2 MeV proton channels exceeds 10^(-1) pfu/MeV
                         
starting at 2025-11-10T15:04Z.
                          Solar energetic particle event detected by GOES.  The flux of > 100 MeV protons exceeds 1 pfu starting at 2025-11-11T10:20Z.

C2 Start Time:  09:36 UT
 
C3 Start Time: 09:42 – 12:42 UT  
 
Type of CME:
Asymmetric HALO CME — FRONTSIDE
pa1:  320      pa2:  320       Total Width:  360 degrees
 
Velocity Measurements:
 
C2 2 points 966.4 km/sec @ PA 320
C3 5 points 1023.3 km/sec @ PA 320 
Average through both fields:  1102.0 km/sec  Acceleration: -78.25 m/sec^2.  
 
 
COMMENT: A frontside, full HALO event can be seen in LASCO C2/C3 in the
                      Northwest direction starting @ 09:36 UT and @ 09:23 in the Northeast
                      direction in COR2-A. NOAA reports an eruptive X1.2 class flare found
                      in  AR 14274 [N23W14] associated with a solar energetic particle event
                      (proton event).    Opening lines can be seen in SDO/AIA 193 commencing
                     @ 09:03, and the solar flare is best seen in GOES-19 SUVI Composite
                     131 @ 09:16.
